Introduction To Bulldozers

The production of bulldozers in my country started after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Initially, bulldozers were installed on agricultural tractors. With the development of the national economy, the demand for medium and large crawler bulldozers in large-scale mines, water conservancy, power stations and transportation departments has continued to increase. Although the medium and large crawler bulldozer manufacturing industry in my country has developed significantly, it can no longer meet the needs of national economic development. For this reason, since 1979, my country has successively introduced crawler bulldozer production technology, process specifications, technical standards and material systems from Komatsu Corporation of Japan and Caterpillar Corporation of the United States. After digestion and absorption and key technology research, a pattern dominated by Komatsu technology products in the 1980s and 1990s has been formed.
From the 1960s to the present, the number of domestic bulldozer manufacturers has remained stable at around 4. The reason is that the processing requirements and difficulty of bulldozer products are high, and mass production requires a large investment, so general companies dare not easily get involved. However, with the development of the market, starting from the "Eighth Five-Year Plan", some large and medium-sized domestic enterprises began to operate bulldozers based on their own strength, such as Inner Mongolia No. 1 Machinery Factory, Xuzhou Loader Factory, etc., expanding the bulldozer industry team. At the same time, a few companies began to decline due to poor management and failure to adapt to the needs of market development, and some have already withdrawn from the industry. At present, the main domestic bulldozer manufacturers are: Shantui Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., Hebei Xuanhua Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., Shanghai Pengpu Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., Tianjin Construction Machinery Factory, Shaanxi Xinhuanggong Machinery Co., Ltd., and YTO Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. In addition to producing bulldozers, the above companies have also begun to engage in the production of other engineering machinery products, such as Shantui also produces rollers, graders, excavators, loaders, forklifts, etc.
